About This Game Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox. It asks one simple question – how will you die? In the towns of Muldraugh and West Point, survivors must loot houses, build defences and do their utmost to delay their inevitable death day by day. For most people, this also means that a lot of the game is pretty much out of reach, since it takes a lot of experience grinding and material gathering to get deeply into the crafting system. Always being at risk of losing everything actually does provide some sense of dread and terror in the game, and this is the neurological trick that makes you to want to play, but that does not make the game fun, it's just a psychological effect. If you disagree, I'd recommend you try copying the save directory to see how the game plays once you have the ability to save and load at will. You quickly realize how boring the game really is without the artificial high stakes.. My character is high on blood thinners....... went into a window and the game same i got a SCRATCH and it wouldnt stop bleeding no matter how much i bandaged. i died. From a scratch. and if i took 1 step on the road, every zombie from half a mile away heard me, with and without the clumsy trait. this game is like Day Z but granted its better then Day Z.. It's a great game but I've been waiting for them to add NPC's to it for over 10 years so they added cars instead. I've been playing since the early build days when it wasn't on Steam.. I have to say that I just stopped playing a few years after they updated the models to be 3d instead of 2d sprites. I loved the old 2d look but just kind of got bored with the bland 3d model look after so many years of playing. It is basically like the early days of DayZ Mod in Arma 2 (thousands of hours played in that, more so than PZ), but as there are other games like Rust out there that grab my attention more and Project Zomboid is very slow and methodical, I just stop playing after a while. Also none of my friends play the multiplayer since I don't know anyone else who loved this game like I did back in the day, so I have really never tried multiplayer at all.. 40 hours in, not bored yet.
